OUR STORY

WE ARE THE
5th GENERATION

of Petas family that runs the Epta Piges restaurant. All started in 1945, when our grandfather Stefanos opened a small café offering coffee and traditional food of the era to the water mill workers and the workers that constructed the irrigation work of the tunnel and lake.
  • Once upon a timeOne day a big snake attacked Stefanos!

After killing the snake he went to Loutanis River to bury it, where he saw a group of travelers. One of them asked him if there is a place nearby to rest and he guided them to Epta Piges. A lady asked for some fasolada and Epta Piges Premium Meats and Delicacies was born…
  • 1965In 1965 we constructed the street that connects Epta Piges with the rest of the road network.

To carve the easiest path, our great grandmother proposed to let a donkey guide the workers.
  • 1990Our father made the necessary procedures to bring cable lines from the road network to Epta Piges.

In 1990 our father made the necessary procedures to bring cable lines from the road network to Epta Piges and provide electricity. Until then (from 1945 to 1990) food was stored in gas fridges and power was provided by generators.
  • TodayToday, Epta Piges (Seven Springs) is one of the most recognisable spots of Rhodes, which attracts thousands of visitors every year.

People gather from around the world to feel the natural breeze and admire the landscape while enjoying traditional, local delicacies.
